Cost-effective solutions for bio waste at EE & RE and Save the Planet 2016

The annual conferences and exhibitions EE & RE (Energy Efficiency and Renewables) and Save the Planet (Waste Management & Recycling) are organized by Via Expo from 5 to 7 April in Sofia, Bulgaria. This year the focus will be on bio waste recovery.

Conferences
A special session will provide attendees with a knowledge of how to turn waste into new resource. It will attract an interest of experts from the food and beverage, agriculture and woodworking sectors.

Topics:

  • Waste to energy with a focus on recent solutions of the Austrian company BDI for the brewing industry
  • Modern thermal waste treatment - WtE technology of Martin, Germany
  • Wood waste utilization - ProPellets, Austria
  • Biogas production as part of sustainable agriculture - European Biogas Association
  • Solid biomass processing for biogas production - good examples from Denmark
  • Biomass, biogas and pellets in Romania - Romanian Association of Biomass and Biogas

Novel method of vulnerability assessment of simple landfills area using the multimedia, multipathway and multireceptor risk assessment (3MRA) model, China

Vulnerability assessment of simple landfills was conducted using the multimedia, multipathway and multireceptor risk assessment (3MRA) model for the first time in China. The minimum safe threshold of six contaminants (benzene, arsenic (As), cadmium (Cd), hexavalent chromium [Cr(VI)], divalent mercury [Hg(II)] and divalent nickel [Ni(II)]) in landfill and waste pile models were calculated by the 3MRA model...
