Brussels Polyurethane Passive House: real energy consumption, indoor air quality (IAQ) and outdoor weather conditions during the use phase

The project assesses how material choices and weather conditions influence IAQ and energy consumption of a passive house.
The building's heating and hot water energy use is continuously measured, as is relative humidity and temperature. Several campaigns took place to measure VOCs, mould, yeast and bacteria as well as CO2 concentrations.
The one-year results showed a very good IAQ. The gross energy consumption for space heating remained low even in winter. Over the whole year, the building reaches zero energy demand and guarantees excellent comfort levels.
