BCCI was founded on July 15, 1994 by 40 Bulgarian chemical companies on a voluntary and professional basis. BCCI represents and protects the economic interests of its members and that of the Bulgarian chemical sector as a whole.
The companies, members of the BCCI operate in the following areas:
Manufacture of refined petroleum and oil products;
Manufacture of chemical products;
Manufacture of rubber and plastics;
Engineering and repair works, trade, services, etc.
The Bulgarian Chamber of Chemical Industry is an active partner of ministries and governmental agencies, employers and sector associations, the nationally representative trade unions in the chemical sector and similar organizations in the European Union - CEFIC /the European Chemical Industry Council/ and ECEG /the European Chemical Employers Group/
