Interview with Ms. Angela Thaller, Marketing Department, REDWAVE

As a tradition Austria is strongly presented at Save the Planet. This year we welcome REDWAVE a division of BT-Wolfgang Binder GmbH among  the exhibitors. Please give us more details about the company activities. What kind of waste processing and recycling solutions do you offer?

We offer complete RECYCLING & WASTE TREATMENT SOLUTIONS and SENSOR BASED SORTING MACHINES.
REDWAVE supplies ground-breaking and economic sorting plants for recyclables as well as turnkey waste treatment plants. Furthermore, REDWAVE is a leading manufacturer of sensor-based sorting machines with a sturdy industrial design. The sorting machines feature a high selectivity for several recycling materials. This results in a high yield of pure fractions. REDWAVE is operating worldwide and headquartered in Austria. It maintains branch offices in Germany, China and the USA.

Please tell us about your optical sorting technology. What makes it innovative and profitable?

REDWAVE sensor-based sorting machines through excellent industrial design achieve high performance and quality recovery of materials in sorting various materials and/or colours. We do not stop at the sensor level but provide the complete machine taking the responsibility for the sorting result. We also focus to have our software and hardware knowledge in house as this gives our clients the required flexibility and allows us to continuously develop our products and react quickly on market and customer needs.
Advancement through technical progress!
We deliver sorting machines and complete plants for:
Mixed glass, plastics, paper
Metal sorting
MBT/MT plants
Mixed municipal solid waste (MSW)
Single stream material recovery facility (MRF)
Refuse derived fuel (RDF/SRF)
Electronic scrap (WEEE)
Wood sorting
Online quality control system

What is your latest development and how it can find application on the market in South Eastern Europe?

Our latest Innovation is REDWAVE XRF SORTING MACHINE.
REDWAVE is worldwide market leader in the XRF-sensor based sorting technology for the recycling industry. High-purity metal fractions are produced due to the sorting processes. Assuming the current revenues for the recovered metals for the sorting of ZORBA, the payback of the machine including labour and operating costs shall be reached in less than a year. The applicability of the X-ray fluorescence technology is very multifaceted and not limited to one material class or application. Compared to other technologies, moisture, colouring and surface contamination have no significant negative impact on the detection.

Who do you want to invite to visit your stand and what will you present in Sofia?

As we are solution provider, plant builder and manufacturer in the area of recycling and waste treatment we invite visitors to get information about individual and efficient solutions for their own waste projects at our stand.
We offer a tailor-made full service, from conceptual design to planning, production, modernisation, optimization, assembly, start-up and maintenance of complete sorting plants and waste treatment systems for RDF production.
